PROJECTS

MILLION TREES MIAMI

Million Trees Miami is a community-wide effort to plant 1 million trees by 2020 in order to achieve a 30% tree canopy cover for Miami-Dade County. This campaign was developed by the Miami-Dade Community Image Advisory Board (CIAB) and was born of the idea that a healthy and sustainable urban forest provides significant social, economic, and environmental benefits that fosters a high quality, livable, vibrant and beautiful community.

TREE OF LIFE FOREST

With the commitment to help the Haitian community after the devastating earthquake in January 2010, BioPlanet has set the goal to plant a tree for each person that perished during this catastrophe. With this emergency action we are helping to reforest cities, improve the community's sustainability, create jobs and promote an environmental campaign that foments continuous reforestation efforts.

Reconstruction cannot happen without reforestation!

NATIONAL MORINGA PROJECT

This ambitious agricultural, environmental, nutritional, economical and social project implements the Moringa Tree in critical areas of Honduras with high levels of deforestation and infant malnutrition.

On one hand, the Moringa Tree will help with the forestation of the most affected areas of the country providing its environmental relief. On the other hand, the nutritional and medicinal benefits of the tree will find their way into the diets of children to minimize the infant malnutrition levels.

The end result will be the creation of a new industry due to the interest and desire to grow and product Moringa nationwide.

CUNDINAMARCA NEUTRA

Under the premise of minimizing the carbon footprint of the State of Cundinamarca - Colombia, where Bogota is the capital city, several strategies have been proposed including the reforestation of 27,000 hectares of land.

The variety of ecosystems within the state will require the allocation of different varieties and species of native trees that in the long run will grow healthy and will provide the natural benefits that trees provide to help mitigate the green house effects that the communities in urban and rural cities generate daily.

The participation of everyone is key to reduce the carbon footprint and better the quality of life of the community.

GREAT BICENTENNIAL FOREST

Celebrating Mexico's 200th Independence Aniversary, BioPlanet has set the goal to plant and safe keep  100 million trees (almost one per inhabitant), create jobs, reforest and forest eroded regions and educate communities on the importance of caring for the environment.

Various reforestation efforts and protected existing forests across the country add up to the total amount of trees of this Great Forest

NIR HAEMEK GREENHOUSE - WIZO USA FOREST

A year ago, the Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) in South Florida, USA decided to implement an environmental campaign with all its members as a token of appreciation to South Florida by planting a the for each family that calls South Florida their home.

But always keeping Israel in their hearts, for each tree planted in the Million Trees Miami project, a seed has been sent to Israel to start the Nir Haemek Greenhouse to help with Israel's ongoing reforestation efforts.

This annual project has become a pride for the Jewish community of South Florida and each year around February a new forest is created with the help of all family members.
