Wonderful progress at Cite Soleil, Haiti

 

BioPlanet is extremely proud to receive news form Jaden Tap Tap, located in Cite Soleil, Haiti in regards to the latest growth and new planting beds installed for Moringa leaves production.



Jaden tap Tap received a grant from Us back in April when a massive community seminar was given by our team in regards to the way Moringa should be planted, cultivates, produced and most importantly, consumed to benefit the massive nutritional need that this community is eager to receive.



10,00 Moringa seeds where donated by BioPlanet to the organization administrating Jaden Tap Tap, SAKALA and here are the results!

BioPlanet Donates 100,000 Moringa seeds to USAID

 

In With the vision to help the malnourished communities of Honduras by planting and educating the people on the benefits of the Moringa tree, BioPlanet donated 100,000 Moringa seeds to the USAID in Honduras.



The USAID currently conducts a project by the name of ACCESO, which looks to aid 30,000 families in the western region of Honduras giving away resources to promote local crop productions, community sustainability and reduce the levels of malnourishment. Among these resources, the USAID gives away seeds of different kinds to the families to they plant, grow and harvest them for auto-consumption. 



By giving Moringa seeds to all households, each family will be able to maintain a balanced diet high in nutrients and still produce enough to market locally.

BIOPLANET signs new agreement in COLOMBIA 

 

BioPlanet officialy incorporates the newest project to its environmental initiatives portfolio. With this new alliance between the Secretary of Environment, the Office of the Governor of Cundinamarca and BioPlanet International, BioPlanet will officialy begin its course to aid and promote "Cundinamarca Neutra" in Colombia and Internationally with the goal to help the reforestation of 27,000 Hectares of land within the State.
 

The variety of ecosystems within the state will require the allocation of different varieties and species of native trees that in the long run will grow healthy and will provide the natural benefits that trees provide to help mitigate the green house effects that the communities in urban and rural cities generate daily.

Stella McCartney sponsors new forest for Million Trees Miami

 

After raising funds for a period of two months at their Bal Harbour store and following their environmentally friendly and socially responsible mission, Stella McCartney became the newest sponsor of Million Trees Miami by planting 32 mature native trees at Haulover Beach Park on December 11, 2012.
 

The representatives of the store came early in the morning to help plant the very same trees they raised funds for and with the help of county personnel and our BioPlanet team, in less than two hours the entire forest was planted. 



For each purchase at the Stella McCartney store in Bal Harbour, a percentage was donated to BioPlanet for the creation of this forest that will benefit the patrons visiting this park and giving fresh air to our environment.

WIZO Florida sponsors 2nd forest for Million Trees Miami

 

WIZO Florida, the Women's International Zionist Organization chapter in South Florida planted on sunday Jan. 27, 1013 the 2nd Annual WIZO Forest where the members donated trees in memory/celebration of a loved one in celebration of Tu B'Shevat, the New Year's of Trees in the Jewish Calendar.

​

50% of all donations went towards this planting and the other 50% went to the Nir Haemek Childcare Center in Israel to continue their reforestation efforts. 



With the presence of Commissioner Dennis C. Moss, Miami-Dade County Commissioner from District 9; Jack Kardys, Miami-Dade County Parks - Recreation and Open Spaces Director, Christina Casado, CIAB Director and Staff members that deserve the same amount of credit for their undeniable contribution to this year's event like Kevin Kirwin, Chis Alonso, Tom Morgan, Kathy Haley and everyone at Haulover Beach Park, along with more than 200 members of Miami's Jewish community and members of WIZO, all 150 trees were individually planted

PRODECON S.A. planted more than 1500 new Moringa trees

 

PRODECON S.A., a leading engineering and construction company in Honduras, who recently became the latests sponsor in benefit of the National Moringa Project, came together as a company and joined us in planting more thank 1500 Moringa seeds in the low income school located in Casanave, close to San Pedro Sula.

​

The 230 children attending this school along with they families living in this community will benefit from the production coming from these trees. First they will consume moringa in their daily lunch and the surplus will be for them to take home and boost the daily diets of their families. 



A dozen employees from PRODECON led by CSR Manager Christian Matamoros met our Bioplanet and SAG team on sunday to plant these 1500 new seeds.

The Related Group donates a tree at ICON Bay's Groundbreaking 

 

On June 14, 2013, The Related Group, one of the most important real estate developers in Miami and South Florida, had the groundbreaking event of their new project ICON BAY.

 

As part of this ceremony, a native tree was planted and registered to count for our Million Trees Miami campaign in partnership with the CIAB.

 

To this event attended City of Miami Tomas Regalado, City of Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, CIAB Director Christina Casado, and for the Related Group, CEO, Jorge Perez and Carlos Rosso, Executive.

 

We hope more companies and local businesses in Miami take this example and help us plant more trees in our community.
